Pishro Ceramic Mehr Research Group focus on the processing, properties and characterisation of advanced engineering ceramic materials, with projects ranging aerospace heat shielding, ceramic automotive braking systems through to better processing methods for nanoceramic particles.
An especially high potential to resolve a wide number of today’s material challenges in process industries, power generation, aerospace, and transportation applications. Such applications are vital to maintaining global competitiveness, decreasing energy consumption and minimising pollution.
The focus of the research undertaken by Pishro Ceramic Mehr Research Group is the generation of both the necessary scientific understanding and the required engineering solutions for the development of process routes that display technical and/or economic advantages over existing techniques and which yield new or improved ceramic-based materials. The range of products worked on is wide, nanostructured to traditional ceramics and includes ceramic foams and composites.
Our goal is to aid the research, development and commercialization of products for industrial customers through contract research, educational consulting, strategic material & partnership brokering, proposal writing and industrial processing.
